16 in ×20 in, Fine Art, acrylic and oil on the stretched canvas

I really like the visual style of director Denis Villeneuve. The scene of the alien spaceship floating unrealistically against the vast natural landscape was beautiful. I also enjoyed the intriguing concept where Louise experiences visions, like dreams or memories, which turn out to be a mix of the past, present, and future—connected as one. The story development, which kept me wondering whether these aliens were trying to gift us something or declare war, was also fascinating. Historically, humans have always been at war with outsiders. When we encounter strangers in unfamiliar lands, do we automatically see them as enemies and think we need to destroy them all? Could they perhaps bring us a gift? This is a thought-provoking film, and I wanted to remember it by creating a movie poster. I painted it with oil on acrylic. For the sand, the spaceship portion, I added shimmering gold acrylic paint to give it a special touch for whoever will own the original piece.
